1 teaspoon salt
cut egglant into 1/2 inch strips, dip in batter and fry in hot fat
(365 degrees) 4 or 5 minutes.
I might try this with onion rings

Rolled Dumplings
1 1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c shortening
Cut ingredients together. Beat 1 egg slightly, add 1/4 c milk. add to dry ingredients. Knead slightly. Roll out thin, cut and drop into boiling chicken broth. Let simmer 20 minutes. Add cut up chicken. Add 3 Tbs. butter, cover and simmer another 10 minutes.

Shrimp & Cheddar Snacks
2 C (8oz) shredded cheddar
1 C mayonnaise
1 6 oz can shrimp rinsed & drained, broken
1 small onion finely chopped
1/4 tsp garlic powder
42 sliced snack rye bread, toasted
Combine first 5 ingredients. spread 1 Tbs on each slice of bread, place on ungreased baking sheets. bake at 350 degrees for 7-9 minutes until bubbly

Dale's Goulash
1/2 lbs hamburger
1 beef boullion cube
1/4 c water
12 oz medium shell macaroni
brown hamburger. Part way through, add bouillon cube that has been dissolved in water. Boil macaroni according to package directions, add to cooked hamburger. Stir, heat to warm through. Add salt & pepper to taste.

Herb Cheese Pimento Dip
1 4 oz jar pimento, drained
1 C sour cream
1 3 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 package green onion dip mix .056 oz
chopped chives
In food processor, puree pimentos. Blend in other ingredients except chives. Spoon into serving bowl, sprinkle with chives. Cover and chill several hours. Makes 1 1/4 C.
