Aunt C's Eggplant Batter

1/2 c flour
1/2 c water
1 slightly beaten egg
2 T oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt

cut egglant into 1/2 inch strips, dip in batter and fry in hot fat
(365 degrees) 4 or 5 minutes.

I might try this with onion rings
