Rolls

1 Cup scalded milk
2 or 3 Tablespoons shortening
2 or 3 Tablespoons sugar
1 beaten egg
1 Teaspoon salt
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 Cup lukewarm water
3 to 3 1/2 Cups flour

Combine milk, shortening, sugar, salt and egg.

Cool to lukewarm

Gradually stir in flour and set aside to rise for about 2 hours. Make out into rolls and let rise again, about 1 hour. Bake.
